William R. Kowalchuk junior , also working under the names WR Kowalchuk Jr. and Bill Kowalchuk , (born April 12, 1943 in Toronto , Canada ) is a Canadian production manager , director and filmmaker.

Kowalchuk gained fame primarily through his involvement as production manager in the cartoon series Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors and MASK , both of which were made in 1985. He also made a name for himself as director of the cartoon films Rudolph the Red Nose from 1998 and the follow-up film Rudolph the Red Nose 2 from 2001.

Kowalchuk started his career in 1973 as an editor for the film Goodbye, Neighbors and Wives . In this capacity he also worked on the television film A Flintstone Christmas in 1977 and in the same year in the music department of the television series Scooby's All Star Laff-A-Lumpics .
