Rudolph with the red nose (Original title: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie ) is a cartoon with musical elements from the year 1998 by director Bill Kowalchuk .
action
The young reindeer Rudolph grows up in Santa's village at the North Pole . What sets Rudolph apart from other reindeer is his red nose, which sometimes lights up. He is therefore mocked by the reindeer and dwarfs ( elves in the original language ) who live in the village .
After two dwarfs have lost their way with their sled and destroyed the ice garden of the evil ice queen Stormella, she comes to Santa's toy factory and demands of him to deliver the guilty party to her. Otherwise she would block her ice bridge, which is the only way across the great gorge. Since Santa Claus does not want to respond to her request, she forbids anyone to use her bridge and threatens to unleash a terrible storm if he ignores it.
The wish of all young reindeer, like Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen, is to be one of Santa's flying reindeer. To be selected for this, the reindeer games take place once a year. Rudolph also takes part in the games and wins the first discipline, the sled race. Shortly thereafter, however, he was disqualified by the referee because of his bright nose and excluded from further participation. Rudolph escapes disappointed from the village and meets the fox Slyly in a cave. Rudolph's friend Zoey goes in search of him and crosses Stormella's ice bridge. As a result, the ice queen has her captured and later also kindles the announced storm.
The Sprites of the Northern Lights appear at Rudolph's and explain that Zoey is in danger. Rudolph manages to free Zoey and save the life of the evil ice queen Stormella. Then he has a wish and wishes from Stormella that from now on she is no longer angry, but nice to everyone.
Due to the storm, the distribution of the gifts on Christmas Eve was in danger, but thanks to Rudolph's shining nose, which shows the loaded sledge the way, Santa Claus manages to fly despite the thick fog and the storm.
