William Russ

William Russ (born October 20, 1950 in Portsmouth , Virginia ) is an American actor .

Life and accomplishments

Russ is a son of a naval officer. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in dramaturgy . Russ made his debut in a larger role in the horror comedy Death Bed: The Bed That Eats from 1977. In the thriller Courage (1984) he was seen in a larger role on the side of Ronny Cox and M. Emmet Walsh .

The lead role in the sports drama Pastime (1991) earned Russ a 1992 nomination for the Independent Spirit Award . From 1993 to 2000 he appeared in a larger role in the television series Life and Me , and he directed nine episodes. He later starred in several television films and in guest roles in television series, including two episodes of the series JAG - On behalf of the honor from 2004, in which he impersonated a general.

Russ is married to actress Clare Wren and has two children.
