William Walter Greer
William Walter Greer (born July 27, 1865 in Sacramento , California , † October 6, 1932 there ) was an American politician. He belonged to the Republican Party .
Greer's parents had come to Sacramento on the California Trail in 1854 and ran a farm. William Greer attended local schools and then worked in the dairy industry. In November 1900 he was first elected to the California State Assembly in electoral district 22 . In 1902 he was re-elected and after a reorganization of the constituencies he represented the 19th district until 1904. After a four-year hiatus, Greer ran again and was elected to the House of Representatives for a third time in 1908.
In 1921 William Greer was appointed Prohibition Agent , an office he held for three years.
