Willie Maiden
Willie Maiden (born March 12, 1928 in Detroit as William Ralph Maiden , † May 29, 1976 ) was an American tenor saxophonist and arranger of modern jazz .
Maiden became a professional musician in 1950 and played with Pérez Prado , among others . In 1952 he began arranging for Maynard Ferguson , became a member of his big band and worked with him until the 1960s. With his orchestra he accompanied the singer Chris Connor in 1961 . In 1971 he played in Stan Kenton's band .
