Willow Shields (born June 1, 2000 in Albuquerque , New Mexico ) is an American actress .

Life

Willow Shields was born in Albuquerque in June 2000 . She has a twin sister, Autumn , and an older brother, River , who are both actors as well. In addition to acting, she is also engaged in fine arts. The then eight-year-old Shields made her acting debut in the short film Las Vegas New Mexico in 1875 . In 2009, she played the role of Lisa Rogan in the second episode of the second season of USA Networks - crime series In Plain Sight . In 2011, she starred as a homeless child named Grace in the TV movie Beyond the Blackboard , a CBS production starring Emily VanCamp .

In 2012, her biggest role to date followed in the science fiction film The Hunger Games - The Hunger Games . There she plays the role of Primrose Everdeen , the film sister of Jennifer Lawrence . In 2013 and 2014, Shields took on the role of Primrose again in the sequels of The Hunger Games , The Hunger Games - Catching Fire and The Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part 1 .

In 2015, Shields took part in the 20th season of the US dance show Dancing with the Stars with Mark Ballas . At 14, she is the youngest participant in the show to date.
