Willy Klopfenstein (born January 11, 1921 in Wängi ; † June 21, 2002 in Brienz ) was a Swiss ski jumper .

Career

Klopfenstein, who started for the Adelboden ski club , was part of the host Switzerland's squad at the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz . With jumps of 60 and 62.5 meters he reached 13th place from the Olympic hill. At the Swiss championships in 1949, Klopfenstein won his first and only Swiss championship title. A year later, Klopfenstein jumped to 28th place at the 1950 Nordic World Ski Championships in Lake Placid .
