Willy Linder

Willy Linder (born March 16, 1922 in Bern ; † August 15, 2000 in Egg ) was a Swiss economist , business journalist and presenter .

Life

Linder completed his Matura on the second educational path . He then studied economics at the University of Zurich , the Sorbonne in Paris and the London School of Economics and was born in Zurich in 1954 with the dissertation The proportional wage. Doctorate in business studies on a new form of remuneration .

In 1954 he joined the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) as a business editor. In 1972 he became head of department. During his time at NZZ, he took an economically liberal course. From 1971 to 1977 he was a private lecturer and then associate professor for Swiss economics at the University of Zurich. From 1988 to 1993 he was head of the Swiss Institute for International Research. He was also a member of the Federal Cartel Commission. Linder campaigned for economic reforms in the People's Republic of China. He also hosted the television show Facts and Opinions .
