Willy Philippsborn
Willy Philippsborn (born June 18, 1910 in Bentschen ; † November 9, 1992 in Wismar ) was a German prisoner of the Buchenwald concentration camp and, after the foundation of the National Buchenwald Memorial (NMG), was a guide through the memorial.
Life dates
Philippsborn was sent to the Buchenwald concentration camp in 1939 with the prisoner number 3,447. He was saved from destruction by Robert Siewert in the construction team , which also had a bricklaying school .
After the liberation from Nazi rule , he led groups of visitors through the NMG Buchenwald.
