Willy Ramme

Willy Adolf Theodor Ramme (born February 28, 1887 in Berlin ; † August 24, 1953 there ) was a German entomologist . He was curator at the Berlin Museum of Natural History .

Life

Ramme studied zoology in Berlin. In 1906 he became a member of the Corps Holsatia Berlin (today Corps Franco-Guestphalia Cologne). In 1912 he received his doctorate. From 1911 until his retirement in 1952 he was at the Zoological Museum of the University of Berlin (Museum of Natural History), the last few decades as curator and professor.

He was a specialist in locusts (orthopters).

Since 1950 he has been a correspondent for the Natural History Museum Vienna.

Willy Ramme died in Berlin in 1953 at the age of 66. His grave is in the Evangelical Churchyard Nikolassee .
