Willy Rieger (born September 5, 1904 in Breslau , † March 14, 1967 in Cuxhaven ) was a German track cyclist .
Willy Rieger was a professional racing driver from 1926 to 1935. During these years he was successful in six-day races without exception . He started at 40 events and finished in the top three in 20 races. In 1926 he competed with Fritz Knappe in the first six-day race in Dortmund , which they both won. Together with the outstanding Danish sprinter of his time and world champion, Willy Falck Hansen , he finished second in the first edition of the Copenhagen six-day race. Rieger won a total of six six-day races, three times at home in Breslau.
After no six-day races had been held in Germany since 1934, Rieger switched to other cycling disciplines. In 1935 he was fourth in the German sprint championship . In 1936 he ended his cycling career.
