Willy Thieme

Willy Thieme (born April 23, 1912 in Zurich , Switzerland ; † October 17, 1979 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending secondary school, Thieme completed commercial and technical training and continued training in social science studies. From 1939 to 1942 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . He later worked as operations manager and managing director in the settlement sector and in agricultural machine technology. In 1949/50 he was the organizer of the Munich electrical fair .

Political party

Thieme was a member of the SPD.

MP

Thieme was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1950 to 1958 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1957. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of the SPD Bavaria.

Public offices

Thieme served as district administrator for the Wolfratshausen district from 1946 to 1948 . From 1966 to 1978 he was mayor of Wolfratshausen .
