Wim T. Schippers
Wim T. Schippers (born July 1, 1942 in Groningen ; actually Willem Theodoor Schippers ) is a Dutch television maker, artist and author.
Life
Schippers spent his youth in Bussum and studied in Amsterdam . He later made a name for himself in the Fluxus movement. In 1961 and 1962 he co-founded the artist group Adynamische Groep ("Adynamic Group"), together with Ger van Elk and Bob Wesdorp . In the early 1970s he began to work as a director and author for television productions (e.g. Fred Haché Show ). Schippers invented the fictional character Sjef van Oekel , embodied by the comedian and operetta singer Dolf Brouwers , who made her first television appearance in 1972, and provided the texts for the comics drawn by Theo van den Boogaard . In the Dutch version of Sesame Street , Schippers speaks Ernie .
