Wincenty Rzymowski
Wincenty Rzymowski (born July 19, 1883 in Mława , † April 30, 1950 in Warsaw ) was a Polish politician and writer. He was Foreign Minister of Poland in the Provisional Government of National Unity from May 2, 1945 to February 5, 1947.
Life
In interwar Poland he was a member of the Democratic Party. Rzymowski was Foreign Minister in the Provisional Government of National Unity from May 2, 1945 to February 5, 1947. He represented Poland when the UN Charter was signed and as Foreign Minister during the Potsdam Conference . From 1947 until his death he was a minister without portfolio of the Polish government. His successor as Foreign Minister was Zygmunt Modzelewski .
Rzymowski was a publicist and writer. In a controversy surrounding allegations of plagiarism, he was forced to resign from the Polish Academy of Literature.
