Wind object in Bremen
The wind object in Bremen is a sculpture that stands in the Mitte district on the Weser by the Wilhelm-Kaisen-Brücke / Tiefer in the Schnoor old town . It is included in the list of monuments and statues of the city of Bremen .
The three movable wings of the object from 1978 made of stainless steel on concrete foundations stand at the Great Weser Bridge and come from the Berlin sculptor Hein Sinken .
In moderate winds, as often blows in maritime Bremen, the metallic wings move; A static object becomes a mobile work of art, which shines particularly steely in the sunshine and is reflected in the Weser.
The Kinetic Object made of stainless steel (1973) in Bremen-Mitte by the artist Hein Sinken (1914–1987) still stands in Bremen , also at the northern end of the Wilhelm Kaisen Bridge. Sinken has set up abstract and kinetic objects at many locations in Germany .
In 2016, the wind object was dismantled as part of the renovation of the arcades.
