In 2009 the project was made public for the first time in a public meeting on the budget. In January 2014, the Kassel Administrative Court approved the construction of the wind farm on Hilsberg.

A total of 23 million euros was invested.

business

With this, the municipality is also pursuing the goal of generating at least 20% of its electricity from renewable energies by 2020 and increasing energy efficiency by 20%. The first year of operation of the wind farm made a significant contribution to the fact that Bad Endbach can call itself a “climate protection community”.

criticism

The five wind turbines were built along the municipal boundary to Dautphetal near the Holzhausen district . A citizens' initiative against the project was founded in Holzhausen .
