The Korschenbroich-Nord wind farm is located between Glehn and Kleinenbroich in the northeast of the urban area of Korschenbroich . It consists of five wind turbines . The wind power concentration zone is located on the border with Kaarst near the district of Büttgen .

history

In February 2005 the wind farm was finally approved by the Düsseldorf district government after a two-year lead time. The wind turbines were built by ABO Wind in the further course of 2005 . These are five Südwind S77 wind turbines with a capacity of 1.5 MW each manufactured by Nordex under license. The foundations have a diameter of 14 meters and a depth of 2.5 meters. The wind turbines weigh around 150 tons.

In March 2009, following damage to an identical wind turbine in the Weeze-Wemb wind farm, the blades of all five turbines were replaced.

technology

The five wind turbines have a total installed capacity of 7.5 MW.
