Wind spreader
As wind spreader is referred to plants transformed with the help of the wind their seeds spread (Boleochorie, Ballanemochorie). Wind scattering, like animal scattering, is a sub-form of the semachory .
Plants that use the wind to disperse their seeds have elastic stems and long, elastic fruit stalks, at the end of which the fruits form. The seeds are mostly tiny, but they cannot fly or hover. Instead, the seeds are blown out of the opened fruits "centrifugal wind spreader". The pore capsules of the gossip poppy also help the wind to spread. Moved by the wind, the seeds scatter from the tiny pores under the capsule lids. The same applies to the bluebells or the maiden in the countryside .
Another form are the Windballisten (Anemoballisten) (Anemo ballochorie ); an ejection mechanism is triggered here by the wind .
