Winfried Bonengel
Winfried Bonengel (born April 28, 1960 in Werneck ) is a German director, screenwriter and documentary filmmaker who primarily deals with the subject of right-wing radicalism .
Life
Bonengel studied from 1985 to 1989 at the Paris film school École supérieure de réalisation audiovisuelle (ESRA). His film Beruf Neonazi (1993) about the young neo-Nazi Bela Ewald Althans has been shown at over 40 festivals worldwide. Also in 1993 he published the book Die Abrechnung together with the prominent neo-Nazi dropout Ingo Hasselbach .
Bonengel also works as a screenwriter, for example for Peter Keglevic's television film You Are Not Alone - The Roy Black Story (1996). He has lived in Paris since 1990.
