Winfried Fockenberg

Winfried Fockenberg (born January 15, 1945 in Kirchhellen ) is a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1966, Fockenberg studied law and then completed a legal clerkship with the federal board of the BDKJ . He has been the diocesan secretary of the Catholic Workers' Movement (KAB) in the diocese of Essen for many years and chairman of the KAB's world emergency service.

Political party

Fockenberg has been a member of the CDU since 1965.

MP

Fockenberg was elected to the Bottrop City Council in 1976 . In 1990 he entered the German Bundestag via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia and represented his home constituency of Bottrop / Gladbeck in parliament. In the Bonn - Berlin vote, he voted for the Federal Government to remain in Bonn. In 1994 he left the Bundestag.
