Winfried Hönes

Winfried Hönes (born February 22, 1934 in Düsseldorf ; died April 24, 1996 in Kleve ) was a German author , editor and librarian.

Life

Hönes was the son of a decorative painter and initially worked as a tax officer and youth leader. From 1974 he was head of the city library of Kleve.

In 1968 he founded the private archive on the history of reception , which primarily collects statements by writers about writers and is unique in Germany of this kind. From the holdings of the archive and its collections, Hönes published documentations on Georg Christoph Lichtenberg , George Bernard Shaw , Ernst Bloch , Friedrich Dürrenmatt and others as well as thematic collections of aphorisms .

In addition, Hönes published several volumes with haiku and his own aphorisms.
