Winfried Knorr

Winfried Knorr (born May 23, 1931 in Heidelberg ; † January 1, 2009 ibid) was a German publisher, co-editor, managing director and editor-in-chief of the " Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung " (RNZ).

In 1976, Winfried Knorr took over the newspaper publisher Hermann Knorr founded together with the FDP politician Theodor Heuss and the KPD politician Rudolf Agricola in 1976 from his father, the SPD member of the state parliament Hermann Knorr . Initially he ran the newspaper publisher together with his brother Ludwig Knorr, and later also with his son Joachim Knorr and his niece Inge Höltzcke. Winfried Knorr was initially deputy editor-in-chief, later editor-in-chief and, together with his brother, co-editor. For decades he wrote the leading article for the Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung.

Winfried Knorr succumbed to long-term cancer on New Year's morning 2009.
