Winkelser Strasse 1 in Bad Kissingen

The former post office vehicle hall, Winkelser Straße 1 , in Bad Kissingen , the major district town of the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , is one of the Bad Kissingen architectural monuments and is registered in the Bavarian Monument List under number D-6-72-114-394 .

history

The hipped roof was built in 1928 by the architect Heinrich Götzger . It was laid out with an inner courtyard and two garage wings and served as a vehicle hall for the post office. Five years later, Götzger also built the Bad Kissinger post office at Münchner Strasse 1 .

In contrast to the post office, Münchner Straße 1, the former motor vehicle hall combines modernity with motifs of the Heimat style . In this sense, it cites examples of rural palace construction in its layout with the inner courtyard and the two wings of the building.
