Winston Sharples
Winston Singleton Sharples (born March 1, 1909 in Fall River , Massachusetts , † April 3, 1978 in Hilton Head Island , South Carolina ) was an American composer .
Life
He studied at Harvard University , the Carnegie Institute of Technology and the Yale University Graduate School of Drama .
In the course of his career he set over 700 cartoons to music for Paramount Pictures and Famous Studios and wrote the score for Wild Cargo (1934) and Fang and Claw (1935). In 1931 he married Daisy Shockley with whom he had a son, Winston Sharples Jr.
