geography
The village of Winterberg is the topographically highest part of Lindau. There are still some traditional farms to be found here. The excellent location and the magnificent view of the Alps were undoubtedly the reason that the first single-family houses were built as early as the early 1930s. This construction activity has continued moderately to this day and Winterberg now has around 902 residents, the majority of them in their own homes.
