The debut album The 6th Then came 1999 Darker Than Black Records , the successor corpse standard as well as the live album The 6th Then (Live) in the self-publishing . For the reason: Noble Wolves Records was responsible for joint art and End All Life Productions for Das Aas aller Dinge . This was followed by two more records, which found a home on two different labels, before Winterblut for two albums and two re-releases on Nuclear War Now! Productions signed.

For the ninth and final studio album to date, Be terrible and destroy yourselves! In 2018 he switched to the Nihilistische KlangKunst label.

style

Winter blood was initially based heavily on Burzum . Darker Than Black Records advertised Promo in 1998 as "[f] instere [n], frenzied, hymn-like [n] Black Metal straight from the Aldebaran destroying the competition in a cosmic firestorm". A review of the debut from 2003 mentions the influence of early Norwegian bands (such as Satyricon with Dark Medieval Times ) as well as substantial differences: the scenery suggests German romanticism , Sturm und Drang and Europe between the world wars.

From Björn Backes' point of view, the Burzum style project remained arrested and "immobile and rigid". According to Daniel Müller from Crossfire Metal Webzine, on the other hand, the style “became more and more worn and experimental over the years”, Be terrible and destroy yourselves! also remind him of bands like Ved Buens Ende , Fleurety or In the Woods… . The guitars are "played slowly" and the drums are "barely available". Backes as well as Müller characterize the album as very monotonous and increasingly exhausting.
