Jean Deflandre , known by the pseudonym Winterhalter is a French Metal - drummer .

Career

Deflandre played in the French metal band Bahrrecht between 2001 and 2013 , with whom he released two demos and an album. While still active with Bahrrecht, he joined the band Peste Noire in 2006 , where he was active as a drummer on several works, including a split EP with the Finnish black metal band Horna .

Between 2009 and 2013 he was also active as a musician in the Blackgaze band Les Discrets founded by Fursy Teyssier . Around the same time he joined Neiges' music project Alcest , initially as a session musician. Winterhalter has been a permanent member of Alcest since 2010. He was also active as a drummer for Amesoeurs , which separated in 2009.

He has been a musician at Glaciation since 2011 .
