Ketzer Records is a German music label founded in 1999 . It specializes in extreme varieties of heavy metal . The majority of the published bands come from Germany, with groups such as Sólstafir (Iceland) and Grave Desecrator (Brazil), however, there are also so-called "exotic bands " in the repertoire.

The record company is seen in the scene as an "underground label" to which labels such as "great underground label" (from Allvaters Zorn ) or "Ulmer cult label" (in a review of "L'aube Glacée" by Bahrrecht ) are attached.
Founder and owner Alexander Hehnle is regarded as a “die hard fan”, of whom bands say that he does a lot for them (e.g. Trollech ) or maintains a friendly relationship (e.g. Creature ).
