Winter cliffs

The winter cliffs are a rock formation in the Harz in Saxony-Anhalt and belong to the Harz cliffs .

They rise on the south side of the Wurmbach valley above the right bank of the Wurmbach . The Wurmbach cascades are nearby . Opposite, on the north side of the valley, are the summer cliffs . The area of winter cliffs belongs to the district of the city Thale belonging village Stecklenberg in the Harz region .

In 1981 it was placed under protection. The winter cliffs are designated as an area natural monument under the number FND0054QLB.
