The Wisconsin Islands are a group of about a dozen small and rocky islands off the north coast of the Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the northeastern part of the Duroch Islands , they are 1.5 km northeast of Largo Island .
Martin Halpern of the University of Wisconsin , who led a geological team to map these islands between 1961 and 1962, named them after his alma mater .
