The Wissmilen , in dialect [viːsˈmiːlə], in High German also Weißmeilen (but this form is rarely used), is a 2483 m high mountain in Switzerland. It lies on the border between the cantons of St. Gallen and Glarus . The mountain is located in the immediate vicinity of the slightly higher Spitzmeilen . Striking and probably responsible for the name is the light color of its rock, which clearly stands out from the colorful and darker rocks in the area. There is a cairn and a summit book on the summit .
