Vitaly Grigoryevich Chlopin
Vitaly Grigorievich Chlopin ( Russian Виталий Григорьевич Хлопин ; born January 14 . Jul / 26. January 1890 greg. In Perm ; † 10. July 1950 in Leningrad ) was a Soviet radio chemist . He was the first scientific director of the Mayak nuclear facility .
Life
Chlopin studied in Göttingen (1911) and St. Petersburg (1912). He then worked at the Radiological Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1915-1921), in 1922 he began to research at Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky's Radium Institute and became head of the gas department of the Geochemical Institute of the Soviet Academy of Sciences. Since 1924 he also taught at the Leningrad State University .
