In 1984 the building was planned to be 770 m long and cost 21.6 million DM.

construction

In September 1983, preparations for the tunnel construction began. The tunnel was on 1 February 1984 struck . According to his godmother , the tube was also called the Margret tunnel during the construction phase .

In mid-November 1984, during construction work on the tunnel, an approximately 20-meter-long section of the tunnel was buried. The danger was recognized in time to clear the area. The cause was suspected to be geological disturbances in the mountain wall.
