Vladimir Alexandrovich Astapovsky
Vladimir Alexandrowitsch Astapowski ( Russian Владимир Александрович Астаповский ; born July 16, 1946 in Bryansk ; † April 12, 2012 in Moscow , Russia ) was a Soviet football goalkeeper .
Astapovsky played for Dynamo Bryansk , his hometown team, when he was young . After working at Neftçi Baku and in Sevastopol, he joined CSKA Moscow in 1969 . In 1970 he won the Soviet championship with this team. In 1976 he was voted Soviet Footballer of the Year . From 1981 to 1982 he played for SKA Khabarovsk .
From 1975 to 1977 Astapowski played 11 times for the Soviet national team . At the 1976 Olympics he won the bronze medal with the Soviet team.
Astapowski died on April 12, 2012 at the age of 66.
