Vladimir Dimitrow-Maistora , actually Vladimir Dimitrow Petrow ( Bulgarian Владимир Димитров – Майстора ; born February 1, 1882 in Frolosch , † September 29, 1960 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian painter.

Life

He studied at the Sofia Art Academy from 1903 to 1910 . His painting also succeeded in gaining international attention. His painting style was characterized by the use of surfaces with bright colors, the motifs mostly play in a rural setting.

He was awarded the Georgi Dimitrov Order and the Dimitrov Prize. In the television show Velikite Balgari , Dimitrov-Maistora was voted 19th largest Bulgarian by Bulgarian television viewers in 2006. Since 2006 he has also given its name to Maystora Peak , a mountain on Greenwich Island in Antarctica.
