Wladimir Michailowitsch Gorjajew ( Russian Владимир Михайлович Горяев , English transcription Vladimir Mikhaylovich Goryayev ; born May 19, 1939 in Moscow ) is a former Russian athlete who competed in the triple jump for the Soviet Union .
Gorjajew won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 behind the world record holder and reigning European champion Józef Szmidt from Poland and ahead of his compatriot Witold Krejer . Also at the European Athletics Championships in 1962 he had to admit defeat to Szmidt and again took second place.
