history
Johann Wilhelm Lommertzen from Gladbach unsuspected the pit box, Johann Wilhelm lignite on 4 May 1821. The investiture of Lommertzen took place on 23 October 1822. Since 1824 there were with Gerhard woods an additional trades . He suspects the Johann Wilhelm mine again on May 1, 1827. In the inspection protocol of May 29, 1827, Gerhard Lindlar as the mine manager and Gerhard Jacob Fues, the trades of the Heidkampsmaßen lignite mine, were also mentioned as further trades. The renewed lending took place on December 9, 1827. A note dated January 7, 1831 shows that no perforated stones had yet been set. Therefore, Hölzer could not see the exact boundaries of the brown coal field. Nevertheless, he did not let himself be disturbed in his further work and continued to work. Since January 13, 1831, preparations have been made for a new measurement . The protocol of November 4, 1831 reports the completion.

Location and relics
The Johann Wilhelm mine, or de Zanders Trasskuhl in the vernacular , was located west of Bensberger Straße at about the same level as the entrance to the indoor swimming pool. To the south it bordered the Heidkampsmaaßen mine field , which was also part of the so-called Zanders Trasskuhl. Part of the paper machine 3 of the Zanders paper mill is located here today .
