Vladimir Nikititsch Kaschperow
Vladimir Nikitich Kaschperow ( Russian Владимир Никитич Кашперов * 1827 in Tschufarowo, Government Simbirsk ; † June 26 jul. / 8. July 1894 greg. In Romanzewo ) was a Russian composer.
Kaschperow studied in Saint Petersburg with Adolf Henselt and from 1856 in Berlin with Siegfried Wilhelm Dehn and then went to Italy. From 1866 to 1872 he was a singing teacher at the Moscow Conservatory . Then he founded choir classes to promote interest in music, which he taught free of charge. He composed five operas, choral works and songs (including many folk songs, e.g. Posseju lebedu ).
