Vladimir Nikolayevich Beklemischew ( Russian Владимир Николаевич Беклемишев ; born October 4, 1890 in Grodno ; † September 4, 1962 ) was a Russian zoologist and ecologist .

Beklemischew's best-known book Principles of comparative anatomy of invertebrates has been translated into English, German and many other languages, whereas many of his theoretical works have never been translated and are therefore hardly known outside of Russia.

Beklemischev's work is of great importance for today's evolutionary biology, because his morpho-process theory had already taken into account many aspects of a modern evolutionary theory .
