Vladimir Pavlovich Besobrasov ( Russian Владимир Павлович Безобразов ; born January 3 jul. / 15. January  1828 greg. In Vladimir , † August 29 jul. / 10. September  1889 greg. In Dmitrov ) was a Russian economist and 1873 in the foundation of the Institut de Droit internationally involved.

Life

Besobrasow completed his training at the Tsarskoje Selo Lyceum in Saint Petersburg and then worked in the Russian Ministry of Finance . Due to publications on economics , especially in the field of finance , he was elected a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Saint Petersburg. In September 1873 he was one of the eleven co-founders of the Institut de Droit international (Institute for International Law) in the Belgian city of Ghent . It is an association that was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1904 and is still in existence today, with the aim of further developing international law .
