Vladimir Tschitschinowitsch Marganija ( Russian Владимир Чичинович Маргания ; born February 8, 1928 in Otschamtschira , Abkhazian SSR ; † September 6, 1958 in Azjubscha near Otschamtschira) was a Soviet goalkeeper .
life and career
Vladimir Marganija was born in Otschamtschira , Abkhazia in 1928 . He began playing professional football at Dinamo Suchum , for whose first team he appeared in 1945. In the following year he was committed by the first division club Shakhtar Stalino (today Shakhtar Donetsk), but only made five appearances in the first team during the entire season.
In 1947 Marganija moved to Dinamo Tiflis . There he eventually became the goalkeeper after a while. In 1952 he received the honorary award " Honored Master of Sports ", in 1951 and 1953 he was Soviet runner-up with his club. In his last three seasons in Tbilisi, however, he was increasingly pushed back into the role of a reservist.
On September 6, 1958, Marganija was only 30 years old when she died in a car accident near his hometown Ochamtschira.
