At Wickrather Tor 62 (Mönchengladbach)
The residential building Am Wickrather Tor 62 is in the Rheindahlen district of Mönchengladbach in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was built in the early 1920s. The house was entered under No. A 008 on December 4, 1984 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

It is a two-story house with a half-hipped roof with a five-window structure and a ground-floor middle entrance to the street at Wickrather Tor in the center of Rheindahlen. A three-window group with the gable design of the ground floor and first floor is formed facing the street Südwall, with two windows arranged symmetrically above on the half-hipped floor.
On the west facade facing the courtyard there is a smoothly plastered wall surface with an original window on the left, the stairwell window. The extensions on the courtyard side are predominantly in brick with Eternit slate ; Additions to the present. The roof structure on the west side is made up of three pointed gable dormers , an extremely rich and powerfully structured main roof cornice is a striking end to the roof base on both the west side and the east side.
The five-window facade on the street side at Am Wickrather Tor is rhythmically structured by vertically stacked double window groups. Circumferential garments with ornamental parapets and supraports as well as accentuation of the house entrance with garland decorations with emblems. Garland decorations are also present in all ornamental parapets on the south and east sides. In the center of the house entrance axis a triangular gable window in the attic, which represents a modified solution to the original condition.
The front door contains wrought iron grilles and bumpers. The wall surfaces of all floors are structured by a horizontally combed plaster in contrast to the smoothly plastered ground floor plinth areas and the stucco imitations of the walls and overhangs.
