The residential building at Katharinenstraße 3 is a listed Art Nouveau building in the Outer New Town of Dresden , which was built in 1903 by Friedrich Wilhelm Hertzsch and belonged to the architect. It was built together with the houses at Katharinenstrasse 1 and Katharinenstrasse 5 by the same architect. The building is characterized by a “picturesque and highly differentiated sandstone plaster facade with elaborate building sculpture ”.

It was built as a four-storey residential building within a closed development that is now partially destroyed by the war. The facade has a front length, the seven axes is wide, of which three axes of a centrally mounted bay with steeply rising spire are claimed. The ground floor shows an elaborate sculptural work in sandstone .
