Wojciech Jacek Wojdak (born March 13, 1996 in Brzesko ) is a Polish swimmer . The pool swimmer has specialized in freestyle distances from 400 meters and is a multiple Polish champion.

Career

Wojdak, born in Brzesko in the Brzeski powiat in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , grew up in Maszkienice and competed for Wiking Brzesko when he was nine.

The athlete, who competes today for the UKP Unia Oświęcim club , won the Polish Championship over 1500 meters in 2014 in 15: 09.97 min; Over 400 meters there was silver in 3: 51.20 and over 800 meters bronze in 7: 58.45. The 2015 championships in Stettin were even more successful for him: gold over 1500 and 800 meters (15: 05.34 and 7: 53.23). He reached silver over 400 meters in 3: 50.64 minutes.

In August 2015, he played the same three routes at the World Swimming Championships in Kazan, Russia. Over 1500 meters he narrowly missed the small final and finished seventeenth in 15: 14.28 minutes. In contrast, there were two sixth places in the finals over 400 and 800 meters (3: 46.81 and 7: 45.90). The winner here was the Chinese Sun Yang (3: 42.58 and 7: 39.96).

He won the bronze medal over 1500 meters at the 2016 World Short Course Championships in Windsor .

At the 2017 Swimming World Championships he won the silver medal in the 800 meter freestyle discipline with a time of 7: 43.73 minutes behind Gabriele Detti .
