Wokha is a city in the Indian state of Nagaland .
The city is the capital of the Wokha district . Wokha has the status of a Town Committee . The city is divided into 15 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had 35,004 inhabitants, of which 18,070 were men and 16,934 were women. Christians make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 91%. Hindus form a minority of over 5%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 95.8%, well above the national average. 90.2% belong to the Scheduled Tribes .
