Wolf-Dieter Wolf (born May 12,  1944 in Tolkemit ) is a German real estate entrepreneur and sports official .

Life

Wolf grew up in northern Germany and lived, among other things, for two years in a children's home in Uetersen near the Hanseatic city of Hamburg . As a teenager he played handball . After the eleventh grade, he left school and completed an apprenticeship as a real estate and housing manager. He made up his Abitur and then studied business administration . In 1968 he worked briefly in Hamburg at Iduna , then at the co-op group of companies in the area of ​​property acquisition and development as a clerk, then as an authorized signatory (and in this role responsible for the southern Germany area). In 1978 and 1979 he worked for a Hamburg company in real estate sales, went to Berlin in 1979 and from then on worked independently in the real estate business, initially as an agent and then as general contractor and administrator in this area. In 1985 he founded the basic concept real estate management and consulting company GmbH. In the period from 1992 to 2007, Wolf's investments in 13 properties in Berlin and East Germany amounted to around 100 million euros, according to the company. In addition to the construction of his own commercial properties, he specialized in the "revitalization of shopping centers".

In 1999 Wolf became chairman of the Sporting Club Berlin Scharmützelsee eV He was also from 1997 president of the Berlin Basketball Association .

In 2001 he moved into the Presidium of the State Sports Association Berlin (LSB) and became chairman of its Economic Advisory Board, and in 2015 he resigned from the LSB Presidium.

In 2002 he became a member of the supervisory board and chairman of the economic committee of the Berlin baths companies .

Wolf was involved in the Berlin cultural scene as a member of the support group of the Deutsche Oper , and from July 2004 also as chairman of the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Berlin State Ballet.

In the context of the sale and leasing of the “Adlershofer Tor” business center, the public prosecutor's office investigated Wolf in 2004; the criminal proceedings for suspected corruption were discontinued in 2006.

In 2007 Wolf was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon . He is also an honorary member of the Berlin State Sports Association.

On January 1, 2010, Wolf became a member of the supervisory board of Messe Berlin GmbH and chairman of the investment committee. He has been chairman of the supervisory board since April 2017. After having been a member of the administrative board of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg since January 2003 , he was elected chairman of this body on October 22, 2013. In 2014 Wolf received the Order of Merit of the State of Berlin .
