Wolf Gabbe
Wolfgang "Wolf" Gabbe (* 28. April 1924 in Berlin ) is a German musician ( drums , vocals ) and orchestra leader of jazz - and popular music , which is also under the pseudonym Kid Orbis was known.
Gabbe first worked in a car repair shop and also trained as a drummer in an evening course. After 1945 he played dance music and swing . From 1948 until the end of the 1950s he performed with his own orchestras or as Kid Orbis and his Swingtett for the Amiga , Delta Ton, Imperial labels (including "We dance polka again!", "Geisterreiter", "Weekend and sunshine") and Pathé on. He was also featured as a singer in Rudolf Schündler's film Der treue Husar (1954). With his radio star band he still performed in Berlin in the 1960s.
