Wolfgang Bachmann (actor)

Wolfgang Bachmann (* 1924 ; † December 2003 in Chemnitz ) was a German actor .

Life

After engagements at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, at the Berlin Maxim-Gorki-Theater and in Greifswald, Wolfgang Bachmann came to Chemnitz in 1980.

In 2003 Wolfgang Bachmann rehearsed for the Chemnitz world premiere of the visual audio piece Das Ramayana -Epos . It was the first complete adaptation of the more than 2000 year old Indian verses in Germany. He was run over by a car in Chemnitz in the evening in mid-December 2003 and died a little later of his injuries.
