Wolfgang Bochow (born May 26, 1944 in Braunschweig , † September 14, 2017 in Siegburg ) was a German badminton player . He was one of the most internationally successful German players ever. In 1968 he won the European vice-title in men's singles, in 1972 the vice-title in mixed. In the last year he celebrated his greatest international success by winning the men's singles title at the European Championships. Together with Jamie Paulson , he finished fifth in men's doubles at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. In singles, he won bronze there.
He was married to Stefanie Bochow (former Bundesliga tennis player ) and lived in Rösrath- Kleineichen near Cologne.
