Wolfgang Bremer

Wolfgang Bremer (born June 1, 1953 in Braunschweig ) is a Rear Admiral a. D. of the German Navy .

Life

Wolfgang Bremer joined the Bundeswehr in 1973 as a candidate for naval officer ( Crew VII / 73 ). From 1974 to 1978 he studied electrical engineering (graduate engineer) at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg. He then served as a naval officer in Kappeln and Wilhelmshaven. From 1985 to 1987 he completed the admiralty staff course at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg. From 1987 he held various functions including a. at the Technical Naval School in Kiel and in the Rostock naval command. From 1994 to 1997 he was a consultant in the command staff of the armed forces (Fü S) in Bonn. After uses the Naval Support Command (MUKdo) in Wilhelmshaven and the Federal Ministry of Defense (MoD) in Bonn he took over in 2001 a presentation in Joint Staff of the Navy (Fo M). In 2005 he became head of the German Liaison Command at the headquarters of the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) in Tampa, Florida. He completed the Higher Command Staff Course at the Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC) in Shrivenham and in 2006 became Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Support Command (SKUKdo) in Cologne. From 2008 to 2012 he was in command of the logistics center of the Bundeswehr (LogZBw) in Wilhelmshaven. From April 2012 to 2014 he was deputy head of the equipment, information technology and usage department at the BMVg in Bonn and was then retired.
